Meteo Liguria, Arpal: warning for the storm surge from the southwest

ARPAL has issued a weather alert for a storm surge driven by southwesterly winds. Two low-pressure systems over northeastern Europe and a secondary low over the Ligurian Sea may trigger the year’s strongest storm surge in two phases. A cold front will reach northern Italy by Wednesday, with varying winds and potential precipitation. The sea will rise, peaking with waves up to 7 meters. A second surge is expected between Thursday and Friday.
