Sports and theater to promote Villanova d’Albenga
Sport and theater merged to celebrate Villanova d’Albenga’s charm through CammiCorsa and the new CammiCultura, an itinerant theatrical performance by Teatro della Tosse di Genova. Spearheaded by the Municipal Administration and local associations, the event featured street food and stories told by actors in the village alleys. The initiative highlighted local history and traditions, with key support from volunteers and sponsors. Mayor Pietro Balestra and Director Amedeo Romeo praised the collective effort and cultural impact.

Theater, in Albenga Chiara Buratti opens “The Pink Ambra” 2024
Chiara Buratti will launch “L’Ambra Rosa” at Ambra Theater in Albenga on November 23, 2024, with “Four Women.” Organized by Teatro Ingaunia and artistic director Mario Mesiano, this innovation features Buratti’s debut as a writer. Co-written with Giannino Balbis and directed by Tommaso Massimo Rotella, the play portrays four women’s paths to freedom. It includes live electronics by Antonio Gatti and costumes by Alessandra Maregatti.

After a summer hiatus, Borgio Verezzi’s Vittorio Gassman Theatre reopens under Paolo Rossi’s direction, managed by Cooperativa I.So. This season marks the return of the Cinematic Service, offering digital screenings for all ages, focusing on children and teens. Enhancing accessibility, the theater provides headphone support for those with hearing difficulties. The 2024-2025 season features eight plays, starting with “Being… Actors in 90 Minutes” and “Frequencies Out of Control,” promising engaging theatrical experiences.
