Theater, in Albenga Chiara Buratti opens “The Pink Ambra” 2024

CHIARA BURATTII

Chiara Buratti will inaugurate the “L’Ambra Rosa” (“The Pink Ambra”) series at the Ambra Theater in Albenga on November 23, 2024, at 9:00 PM with the performance “Four Women”. This event, organized by Teatro Ingaunia and artistic director Mario Mesiano, is a recent innovation. Mesiano expresses excitement about welcoming Chiara Buratti back, calling her “an extraordinary actress, author, and television presenter,” and adds, “Four Women is undoubtedly the perfect show for the context for which L’Ambra Rosa was created.” Chiara Buratti, in her debut as a writer and playwright, emphasizes the importance of portraying “women who have found a sense of freedom, even though they weren’t born free.”

The performance, co-written with Giannino Balbis and directed by Tommaso Massimo Rotella, who will also perform on stage, showcases four female figures: the patron, the mathematician, the tennis player, and the hotel concierge. These narratives of women’s destinies are connected by an “extraordinary sensitivity,” blending contemplation and emotion with humor and entertainment. The four women, invited by an unlikely angel-messenger, share their life stories with a different audience each evening, with the promise that “one of them will be granted the chance to return to earth.”

The production is managed by Orlantibor by Roberta Bellesini, featuring live electronics by Antonio Gatti, costumes by Alessandra Maregatti, and headpieces crafted by Doria1905. Tickets are available in advance at Libreria Quarta di Copertina and online at ticket.it.

Subscription sales for the winter season “AlbengAteatro2025” have already begun. This season, traditionally held from late January to late March, marks the end of the brief era of Ambra Rosa. On Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 9:00 PM, Daniela Poggi and Mariella Nava will present “Figlio non sei più giglio,” a theatrical performance with live music written and directed by Stefania Porrino. It explores the thoughts and emotions of Maria, a mother trying to understand her son’s violence against another woman, aiming to find “a glimmer of hope in his inner renewal.”
