From 18 to 25 August, the municipalities of Finale Ligure, Pietra Ligure, and Loano host a series of cultural and entertainment events as part of the Ponente Vibes project. This initiative seeks to enhance and promote the area through a cultural and tourist twinning between the three locations, in collaboration with the Nord Ovest Cultura project.
The week-long programme includes a variety of activities. In Loano, a cabaret show takes place in Piazza Italia until 23 August, while in Varigotti, the Accademia Musicale del Finale organises evenings dedicated to Sanremo. On 19 August, Finalmarina welcomes “Sbanca il banco,” a Hawaiian-themed party featuring outdoor karaoke, and a film screening is scheduled at Marina di Loano.
On 20 August, the Trio O’Carolan performs in Perti Bassa as part of the Musica in Chordis 2025 series. Loano’s Bagni Lampara hosts an open-air cinema event, and in Ranzi, a procession with artistic crucifixes from local confraternities is accompanied by music from the Filarmonica Moretti.
Thursday 21 August sees Pietra Ligure hosting a theatrical performance by Debora Villa, while Finalborgo continues its “Journey through the Middle Ages” itinerary with themed dinners running until 24 August. In Varigotti, the play “Queste donne hanno un piano” is staged, and Finalmarina organises a silent walking event.
On Friday 22 August, Camping San Martino in Le Manie presents the Manietudo Off show featuring Caterina Cropelli, and Davide and Friend’s perform in Varigotti. On the same evening, Portacomaro in the province of Asti hosts an event linked to the Nord Ovest Cultura project, with appearances by Paola Turci and Gino Castaldo.
The 23 August schedule includes the regional final of “Una ragazza per il cinema” in Loano, alongside another silent walk in Finalmarina. The week concludes on 24 August in Pietra Ligure with the interregional final of the Miss Blumare beauty contest.
The collaboration between the Ligurian municipalities and the Piedmontese territory, highlighted by the event in Portacomaro, aims to strengthen cultural and gastronomic ties, with “wines and Piedmontese specialties” playing a central role in this new partnership.
