Today at the Quirinale, a gathering was held for the exchange of Christmas greetings between the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, and representatives of the Institutions, political parties, and civil society. During the event, the President delivered a speech on the state of democracy in Italy, expressing the hope of rising to the responsibilities necessary to build the common good and tackle the challenges facing the country and the world, fostering a strong relationship between institutions.
The ceremony was also attended by the president of the Liguria Region, Marco Bucci. Bucci remarked: “President Mattarella, addressing mayors, regional presidents, and administrators, emphasized the value of collaboration between institutional levels, asserting that only through dialogue and mutual respect can we confront the challenges of our time for a stronger and fairer Italy.” He highlighted that the meeting served as a meaningful opportunity to reaffirm the importance of local institutional roots within a context of national unity.
