The companies in the Savonese Complex Industrial Crisis Area will receive financial support from the Liguria Region. Applications positively assessed by Filse in recent months will gain access to an additional 6.2 million euros, increasing the total allocation to 24.2 million euros. These funds will support productive investments and experimental research across the 21 municipalities in the area, generating over 30 million euros in local investments and creating up to 220 new jobs.
This announcement was made by the regional assessor for the Complex Crisis Area, Paolo Ripamonti, and the councillor delegated to Economic Development, Alessio Piana, at the headquarters of the Savona Industrial Union. “The Savonese Complex Crisis Area is among the most high-performing in Italy,” stated Ripamonti, emphasizing the importance of continuous dialogue among stakeholders. He added that the aim is to boost employment, with a particular focus on female employment, and that a dialogue with trade unions has been initiated to set priorities in the province.
Alessio Piana emphasized the success of territorial participation, noting that over the past few years, more than 100 million euros have been secured through both ministerial and regional commitments. He also announced that in the early months of 2025, a new call for business creation will be launched, along with a fund to support Valbormida activities affected by flood events.
Caterina Sambin, President of the Union of Industrialists of the Province of Savona, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration with the Liguria Region, acknowledging the importance of the “Complex Crisis Area” tool for business development. She praised the regional administration for quickly initiating projects in Savona and hoped that the dialogue at the Union of Industrialists headquarters could mark the beginning of a constructive collaboration to revitalize the provincial economy.
