Savona, Pact for Valbormida: a new multifunctional vehicle

Savona | It was inaugurated at the Palafungo area of Bardineto, the new multifunctional vehicle purchased by the Province of Savona with the resources made available by The Liguria Region, about 237 thousand eruro, through the “Pact for Valbormida”.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the President of the Region Giovanni Toti, the President of the Province Pierangelo Olivieri and the mayors and administrators signatories of the Pact (Altare, Bardineto, Bormida, Calizzano, Cairo Montenotte, Carcare, Cengio, Cosseria, Dego, Giusvalla, Osiglia, Pallare, Piana Crixia, Plodio, Pontinvrea, Mallare, Massimino, Millesimo, Murialdo, Mioglia, Roccavignale, Sassello, Urbe).

The Valbormida Pact aims to develop and enhance inland Valbormidese and the Erro Valley the ability of the authorities to respond to emergency situations caused by significant weather events, ensuring an improvement in the area of safety and quality of life of the inhabitants.

The high-performance Unimog vehicle presented on Thursday (purchased on the Mepa platform) is equipped with winter maintenance equipment such as snow blades, scattering and sweeping blades and will also be able to be used for the summer activities of grass mowing once the relevant equipment is completed, thus representing a great operational resource for the Provincial Authority and the Territory.

In the words of President Pierangelo Olivieri: “In a province like ours composed of 69 municipalities – besides Savona and Albenga only 5 other municipalities are over ten thousand inhabitants – composed for the vast majority of small municipalities defined by the legislation ‘with less than five thousand inhabitants’ this is a very important moment when the Province with the Region meets the Mayors who will be able to enjoy this service under a convention that we are going to formalize individually and with which they will be agreed the modalities use and booking.”
