Carlo Varaldo, former Medieval Archaeology professor and Scientific Director at the International Institute of Ligurian Studies, will present “Remota loca. Place Names of Liguria (862-1100)” by Furio Ciciliot. This book, part of the Historical Toponymy Project, explores Ligurian place names from the 9th to 11th centuries. The presentation, set for November 22 at 4:30 PM in Savona, will delve into the period’s significance, uncovering insights into ancient communities and land use.
