In Loano, from 28 to 30 August, the courtyard of the Santa Maria Immacolata parish, located on Via dei Gazzi, will host the sagra “Cuellu cu passa u cunventu”. The event is sponsored by the Municipality of Loano and organised by the Circolo Focolare Francescano in partnership with the Santa Maria Immacolata parish and the Capuchin friars, with support from Linda Baracco, a municipal councillor responsible for the Third Sector and Volunteering Committee.
This food and wine event offers attendees the chance to sample traditional local dishes. The menu features items such as ravioli with meat sauce, trofie pasta with pesto, fried fish, mixed grills, breaded fried anchovies, Ligurian-style rabbit, hamburgers including vegan options, chicken wings, fried panissa, chips, various condiments, desserts, apple fritters, and fruit. These dishes will be accompanied by red and white wines as well as craft beers available in both red and blonde varieties.
The food stalls will open at 7 pm, with live musical entertainment scheduled throughout the evenings. Should the weather be unfavourable, covered areas will be provided to accommodate visitors.
Proceeds from the festival will be allocated to support maintenance work on the parish church.
