On Sunday 17 August, weather forecasts from Arpal and the Civil Protection indicate mostly clear or slightly cloudy skies in Liguria during the early morning hours. However, cloud cover is expected to increase in the afternoon, particularly over the inland areas and hills, with isolated showers or thunderstorms possible. These weather events are more likely in the far west and on the Apennine slopes to the east, where brief incursions towards the coast cannot be ruled out.

Winds along the coast are predicted to be light breezes, primarily from the north between the Genoa and Savona areas. Inland, winds will be weak and northerly in the morning, shifting to southerly directions as the day progresses. The sea is expected to remain calm throughout the region.

The Civil Protection has issued a notice of “moderate physiological discomfort due to heat,” with minimum temperatures remaining steady and maximum values decreasing slightly. Humidity levels are anticipated to be moderate.

For Monday 18 August, weather conditions will feature generally clear or slightly cloudy skies in the morning. Cloudiness is forecast to increase from the hills during the afternoon, extending towards the coastal areas. Showers or thunderstorms may occur, especially over the Alpine and Apennine uplands.

Winds will be light and northerly in the morning, with sea breezes becoming established along the coasts in the afternoon. Inland areas will experience light, variable winds. The sea will remain calm.

The Civil Protection again warns of “moderate physiological discomfort due to heat” on this day. Temperatures are expected to fall overall, with humidity levels rising to medium-high values.
