The role of parents has become increasingly complex, and tackling daily challenges to support children in their growth journey can be demanding. Many parents seek practical strategies and advice, feeling the need to engage with educational figures.
At the Kaleidos Youth Center in Borghetto Santo Spirito, educators have frequently noted this need for collaboration. To address this, the “Help Family” pedagogical support service will be available again this year for the center’s families. This service will provide a dedicated space for listening to parents, designed to foster educational co-planning by involving educators, parents, and children, offering tangible support in the educational and personal growth journey.
An experienced pedagogist, along with a center educator, will welcome participants in a non-judgmental manner. They will assist parents in analyzing issues and challenges, gaining a better understanding of their experiences. Sessions can be individual for personalized support or thematic group sessions for parents with common interests or concerns.
The service will be held monthly, starting at the end of November and continuing until May. As highlighted by the Councilor for Social Policies, Attorney Mariacarla Calcaterra, “the service aims to accompany families in their educational and personal growth journey.”
