From 11th to 17th August, the towns of Finale Ligure, Pietra Ligure and Loano will host a series of cultural and musical events as part of the Ponente Vibes project, which aims to promote territorial twinning between these locations. The initiative seeks to enhance the area through an integrated cultural and tourist offering.
In particular, the collaboration with the Nord Ovest Cultura project continues, materialising on 14th and 15th August in Finale Ligure, at Piazza di Spagna, during the Finale Music Festival. Here, visitors will be able to taste wines and typical Piedmontese specialties, highlighting the cultural and enogastronomic bond that is being strengthened. The Monferrato delegation includes representatives from Monferrato On Stage, the Barbera and Monferrato Wines Consortium, the Albugnano Regional Wine Cellar, the Monferrato Excellence Producers Association, and the Cocconato Riviera del Monferrato Consortium.
The schedule of events includes a variety of initiatives. On 11 August in Finale Ligure, there will be a concert by La Crus as part of the Finale Music Festival, while in Loano the group U Gunbu de Loa-Verzi will perform. Pietra Ligure will host the Rock Academy, in Varigotti the Stefano Turolla Trio will take to the stage, and in Perti Alta the Sarita Schena Trio will perform as part of the Musica in Chordis series. In Ranzi, the Nostralino Festival continues until 14 August with live music and DJ sets. Additionally, until 12 August, the Record Fair, dedicated to CDs and vinyl records for sale or exchange, is scheduled on the seafront of Finale Ligure.
On 12th and 13th August in Finalborgo, the Night of the Tarot will take place, while in Loano the traditional Basue festival will be held, involving over three hundred participants to reenact the era of witch hunts. On 13th August, in Finalpia, you can attend “Faber’s Trunk,” a show dedicated to De André’s songs without words. The evening will conclude in Loano with a fireworks display.
On 14 August in Finale Ligure, as part of the Finale Music Festival, the singer Grido will perform, followed by a DJ set. At the same time, in Piazza di Spagna, the meeting between Ponente Vibes and Nord Ovest Cultura will begin, dedicated to the typical products and wines of the Monferrato region. In Loano and Varigotti, musical events are planned featuring Discomania and DJ Cashmere.
On 15 August, also in Finale Ligure, the Rockets will take centre stage with a concert enhanced by a laser show, followed by a DJ set. On the same evening, the event featuring the tasting of traditional dishes and wines will be held again in Piazza di Spagna, and in Pietra Ligure there will be a fireworks display for the Assumption celebrations.
The weekend concludes with more events: on 16 August in Finale Ligure, the Gipsy Kings by Diego Baliardo will perform, accompanied by a fireworks display and a DJ set, while in Loano there will be the Big Bubble Show, suitable for all ages. On 17 August, the week will end with a dawn concert in Finalpia, a new appointment of Summer in the Square in Finalmarina featuring the Rock Academy, a talk show with cabaret in Marina di Loano starring Paola Minaccioni and the presentation of Cremonini, and live music in the square in Pietra Ligure with the Festival project offering a selection of the best Sanremo songs.
