The Riviere di Liguria Chamber of Commerce has allocated 3.5 million euros to boost the local economy and support business development in 2025. This initiative is among the key highlights of the 2025 Economic Forecast approved by the Chamber Council, which convened at Palazzo Lamba Doria in Savona.
Priority sectors for the upcoming year include tourism and culture, receiving 828,000 euros; support for the production system, particularly in the agri-food chain and marine economy, with 773,000 euros; digitalisation with 543,000 euros; job orientation with 320,000 euros; business internationalisation with 413,000 euros; enterprise development with 320,000 euros; economic information with 90,000 euros; and lastly, environment and sustainable development with 203,000 euros. Additionally, 58,000 euros are earmarked for registry-certification services and legal protection.
Concurrently, the Council has approved a three-year investment plan worth 4.8 million euros for the acquisition of a new office in La Spezia, along with 1.3 million euros for extraordinary maintenance of properties, including the hall of Palazzo Lamba Doria in Savona and the office in Imperia.
President Enrico Lupi highlighted that “we are essentially aligned with what was planned at the beginning of the current chamber term.” He added that the entity is working to rationalize its property assets, aiming to create financial reserves to reinvest in the local economy.
Secretary General Marco Casarino stated that “by 2025, the entity will strive to be even more effective in supporting the business system,” focusing on developing initiatives to enhance the competitiveness of local companies.
During the meeting, the new auditors were appointed. The new Board, serving from 19 December 2024 to 18 December 2028, includes Ruggero Reggiardo as Chairman, Giorgio Maria Tosi Beleffi, and Mara Bertaina as members. Dr. Bertaina was appointed as an effective member pending designation by the regional government of Liguria.
