Students from the Falcone Institute of Loano in the Senate for a project on assets confiscated from the mafia

Istituto Falcone Senato

On Tuesday, November 19th, a delegation from the Istituto Falcone di Loano, including teachers Alessia Ferrua from the graphic design department and Daniela Di Pasquale from the fashion department, along with students from classes 5B, 5D, 5C, and 5E, attended a session at the Senate. The meeting, which also included city councilor Monica Caccia, in charge of acquiring confiscated assets, focused on discussing the approval of the New Highway Code and related safety issues.

This gathering provided an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the procedures and legislative processes necessary to introduce and modify laws to protect citizens. The following day, the students met with Senator Gianluca Cantalamessa, leader of the Anti-Mafia Commission at Palazzo Madama. The senator explained how a law amendment is created and encouraged the students to work with their teachers in proposing laws and addressing issues important to young people in their community.

During the meeting, student representative Francesco Tambresoni requested the senator to share his experiences in America during the presidential elections. Monica Caccia emphasized the significance of young people’s active involvement in society, urging them to harness their talents to build a promising future within their own country rather than seeking opportunities abroad.

Senator Cantalamessa concluded by commending the students for their passion and motivation, recognizing their readiness to tackle future challenges positively.
